Maenam is a peaceful, unspoiled coastal village on the North East coast of Koh Samui, a small island just 25Km off the East coast, in the Gulf of Thailand. Boasting a spectacular five kilometres of white sandy beach it enjoys a clear view to the neighbouring island of Koh Phangan.
Meanam hosts the westernmost of the developed tourist beaches. Backed by plentiful coconut trees it is an excellent choice for those that want to be well away from the big crowds of Chaweng and Lamai beaches, but still providing ready access to local services and facilities. Not too far away for a “fun night out” in Chaweng, either by a short drive or a brief taxi ride away.
Maenam offers all the usual local amenities, including banks, a post office, book stores, colourful coffee shops, several supermarkets, 7/11 outlets, spas, massage parlours and a wide selection of restaurants, (choose any type of cuisine from around the world) not to mention the ubiquitous ATM/cash-points which readily accept European debit and credit cards.
Enjoy the diversity of five-star dining to more casual local venues, and of course if you enjoy excellent seafood restaurants, just walk along the beach.
